Clean Your Messy House Tour on Oprah with Peter Walsh

I'm reporting to you live from the 'Clean Up Your Messy House Tour' on Oprah today.

Oprah says, "Your Home Should Rise Up to Meet You".

Can I get an AMEN!

The thing is, we don't even know what that feels like until we actually experience it, which is impossible when things are cluttered and a mess.

It's one of the best and first things that I never fail to notice when a job of decluttering is well done.

CLUTTER ROBS US

Peter Walsh tells us that clutter robs us of peace, harmony, focus and motivation.

You know what I'm going to say to that, don't you.

I'm going to say – AMEN!

I was nodding my head as well when Oprah pointed out that during such uncertain times as these, we can't control what is going on outside, but we CAN control what is going on inside of our environment (even if we have little kids, we can always go for progress if not perfection, no matter what our situation.)

I wrote about the epiphany that I had about that exact topic – What CAN You Do?

He also talks about how our house is a reflection of our state of mind AND our life. I wrote about that too. Messy House, Messy Mind?

WANT TO CLEAN UP YOUR MESSY HOUSE? THERE'S PEACE IN CLEAR SPACES…

Peter is having a 6 month challenge called 'Clean Up Your Messy House Tour'. You can sign up at Oprah.com

You need to decide on your criteria. Sounds boring and blah, blah, blah.

BUT it is going to be your measuring stick, and a very important one.

When you are deciding on whether or not to keep something, it will be your incentive to kick it and claim back your clear spaces – and your sense of peace and well being.

Get some extra support and join the Clean Up the Messy House Tour on Oprah.

You will need 2 bags – one for trash, one for donations. (and a recycle box).

You can even make one for ebay or for a yard sale.

Peter calls it Clutter to Cash.

Kind of catchy!

Start small. Start today.

10 minutes. Right now.

ANOTHER OPTION

If you want something a little different, check out my Spring Cleaning Challenge.

It may not be spring where you are, but it is THE REASON that I can watch this show without having to get off my behind and grab some bags – mine is already done.

OK, we can all do a little more decluttering but I've already got a handle on it because I did the Spring Cleaning Challenge last spring, and it set me up rather nicely by doing 20 minutes per day of focused decluttering.

I topped it off with my BOOST Circuit and the rest is history.
