Stations Everyone!
Anyway, the point is, the other morning I realized that it's been really going smoothly because I have been setting up work stations throughout my home without even realizing it.

Packing nutritious lunches daily have been a challenge for us over the years. My daughter has become a true junky snack food junkie. She likes stuff out of boxes better than anything else. So I was taken totally by surprise last week as day by day she was taking less junk in her lunch and finally didn't want any at all.

I stumbled upon this trick when my daughter was in Brownies so I had to be in town every Tuesday evening. I live to far out to bother driving home and back so I would go and do the grocery shopping while she was there. Soon I was seeing all kinds of benefits.

Getting clear - and free from clutter - is starting to seem like a regular event around here. Oh yeah, it IS a regular event around here! The only way it seems to stay ahead of clutter - that seems to take on life of it's own - is to do a regular clearing. In our society of instant gratification and disposable-ness, it's not always easy to see HOW to create meals that involve little to no garbage. And, although we often associate the connotation of "lunch time" is so closely tied to our children and school, us adults need to eat at noon, too! This is a topic which applies to us all.

Spaghetti is an issue in our house. My kids like to eat it. 2 out of 3 of them like it with sauce. That's a good thing. The bad thing is that they like nothing in it. They like it straight from the can. So I decided to get sneaky today. It's something I've done before with mixed success.

TODAY IS DECLUTTER DAY - Pick a pile. Set your timer. Dig in! Declutter Day Reminder
THEME THIS WEEK - Choose a day and time to go grocery shopping every week. I've choosen Sunday, to get fresh fruit and veggies for lunches this week and it's not as busy. More on Meal Planning.
Spell it out with a beautiful homemade Thanksgiving garland that you can make yourself, and the kids can learn their letters too.
Make a Thanksgiving lapbook with your kids, lots of great craft ideas for kids here.
Make an awesome Halloween Spiderweb!
So this is what Mom's do all day!
