Spring Cleaning

If you have been himm'n and haw'n about getting your spring cleaning finished – or started – you should have a look at our Spring Into Spring Cleaning Challenge.

I am 4 days in and amazed at how 'springy' it is feeling in my bedroom, the first room on the chopping block during the challenge – and how much I look forward to doing my 20 minutes every day. Probably because it makes such a big difference in such a short period of time.

So far I've gotten bags of clutter out (including an 18 year old maternity bathing suit, and a braided rug project that I've had taking up space in the closet for about 10 years), cleaned out a closet area that has been nagging me for YEARS, cleaned the tops of all of my dressers/night stands etc as well as a few misc piles, taken down my curtains and been motivated to put new ones up – another project I've been putting off for a few years, shined my windows and mirrors (I have mirror closet doors so they can be NASTY! and a hanging mirror that seems to attract fingerprints from the air, although I think they belong to two girls who hang out there sometimes) and today I will be washing the floor and tackling another shelf or two – doesn't sound like a big deal but it's always a nice touch – these shelves have been staring at me for far too long – taking away my peace and tranquility. And I just started on Friday with 20 minutes each day (a few minutes longer on declutter day).

You can read about the Spring Cleaning Tips for Mom ebook, and get the details on the Spring Into Spring Challenge here.

I am finding not only that things are already starting to shape up, but that I have a big load off of my mind.

I have a habit of procrastinating about spring cleaning – doing a little bit here – a little bit there – but not getting enough finished by the time the summer holidays hit to make them as enjoyable and organized as they could be.

I'm really excited and I hope that you will find the ebook and challenge to be just what you need to whip things into shape at your house, and to make this summer with the kids less stressful and more enjoyable.
