One of the reasons that you may find yourself a little (or a lot!) behind when Christmas gets here is because the time goes so fast and all of the things that you intended to do are still waiting – but the days still pass.

You can remedy that with a little bit of Christmas Kaizen.

If you haven't heard of it, Kaizen is a Japanese term and practice. It's basically the act of making small improvements every day over time.

And it works wonderfully!

I managed to get my table cleared (it was looking more like Santa's Workshop) my Christmas tablecloth dug out of the Christmas stuff, washed and ironed and my poinsettia's bought and on the table – little by little over the last week or so.

If I hadn't been making the small efforts, I probably still wouldn't have it together.

Bear needs his Santa hat, other than that it's pretty much set.

I even managed to find some nice Christmas mugs and decorative plates to boot!

HOW ABOUT YOU?

Now's the time to get started.

Make it a point to decide what you want to do. It can be multiple small separate tasks, or it can be small steps towards one bigger one.

You get to choose.

You just need to step forward, a little every day from there.

CHRISTMAS KAIZEN PICTURES

I would love to see your Christmas Kaizen pictures.

Send them along if you'd like to share a little of your sparkle and Christmas shine.

You can post a link to them in the comment section below.

Is it almost too early to say it?

Merry Christmas :0)) (I just can't help myself – I'll try to contain myself for a few more days)
