You Clean The Fridge - I'm Busy

What Can You Do In Five Minutes?

How About The Fridge? (hey you, get back here!)

What is the one thing in the kitchen that always seems to be a mess, and the thing that gets used the most?

The fridge.

It has a large impact on whether or not we really want to cook something good, or merely open the door quick and grab the first thing we see, hoping to close the door before something falls out.

Food needs to look appetizing, and before we can even think about stocking good looking food in our fridge, we need to at least clear a space for it, and give it a wipe.

A clean fridge also cuts down on waste, how many times have you forgotten something was even in there?

It’s especially a shame when it’s something really good!

So, set your time for 5 minutes and do the dirtiest shelf first.

Take it out, wipe it up and only put back in what you will use.

Don’t save rubbery celery that you are going to throw out next week anyway.

Try to sort as you go so that things will be easier to find later.

Keep in mind the concept of Stations that we used in the cupboards yesterday.

They work in the fridge too.

If you have any Fridge Saver type Tupperware or other brand, now is a good time to dig them out.

(you obviously can’t do the whole project in 5 minutes, but we are all about inspiration and motivation and getting the biggest bang from our 5 minutes – that includes mapping out our next step and feeling like we want to do it – like we CAN do it.)

I personally like clear glass containers lidded containers although if you have small children safety is a consideration. Clear plastic, if it’s a safe plastic, is an option. It is so important to be able to see what you’ve got in there!

We will talk more about fridge organization later. It is another huge foundation to our health.

If your kitchen cupboards are in pretty good shape, just do these steps somewhere else.

What ever gives you the most bang for your 5 minutes!
