I've been amazed lately at how much I am liking eating gluten and cheese free.

I do use a bit of Parmesan cheese now and then, but as a former cheddar cheese addict, it's working out well. I even had a little piece last night and was really amazed at how bland and tasteless it has become to me. It was kind of like eating a hard piece of lard. I never looked at it that way before.

So in the process I've been changing my style of eating.

My number one rule is to try to make everything count. If it isn't something that is doing my body good, I don't want to eat it.

I've been trying quite a few new recipes, raw foods like green smoothies and fruit/veggie snacks have been number one on the list.

I am finding myself surprised that I feel full longer than I did before. I had assumed that I would be hungry all the time. It's not that bloated full either. Just a comfortable fullness so that I am not even tempted to overeat on junk. I don't even WANT it. I've become accustomed to feeling good after I eat.

Junk just doesn't do that for me.

One of my new favourite recipes is Sweet Potatoe Fries.

They are positively addicting. And due to oil oil, I even get to feel that I am being naughty and cheating, even though they are through the roof nutritious.

Can't beat that!

You can see the recipe on the Eat Gluten Free forum.

If you want to add a green smoothie or two to your eating plan, check out the Smoothie and Raw Food forum.

I have a few more recipes that I am going to be posting that have been keeping me happy when I want something a little more than a smoothie or raw snack, including broccoli quick cook, pb&b oatmeal and green eggs, no spam ma'am.
