I can’t help but notice the feeling I get when things are in order.

When I stick to my routines – housecleaning, exercise and meal plans in particular.

Funny, it looks so easy when I put it that way…

AN ONGOING PROCESS

When things are in order, I feel a sense of peace every morning when the kids are out the door instead of a sense of panic and thinking – what should I do first, I will never get everything done today (or any day), how did this happen – again.

After all of the decluttering I’ve done, all the routine, all the taking it up a notch, it still never ceases to amaze me how fast it can get out of control.

And how little disruption it takes to put us in that spot.It’s an ongoing progress, much like weight loss. You can never stop.

You are never there.

One you let your guard down and think you are, in the wink of an eye you’ll find yourself wondering you how you got back to this place, the place you swore you’d never visit again.

YOU ARE THREE STEPS AWAY

So this morning I wanted to remind you if you are at ‘that place’ that you can get some peace right now.

1 -Pick an area, the one you think will give you the most benefit.

The one that weighs on you the most.

The spot that you can go to recharge and relax.

Or a major work center that is driving you nuts.

2 – Take 15 minutes to 1/2 hour, set your timer and do your best.

3 – Return to that area often to get the feel. To soak up the calm and good feelings you get from the clear space and accomplishment.

And do it again tomorrow.

Rinse and repeat as often as you can.

One day at a time.

That’s what it takes.
