The object of the Double Day Game is to set the bar a little higher by doing double time.
You can do this by going whole hog and doing everything on your BOOST Circuit for double minutes – this works well if you haven’t done it for a few days.
Instead of doing it in one session you can set aside time for 2 BOOST sessions in whatever combination you choose.
OR you can choose a few things and do them for double time and do the rest for the normal time. Dishes always seem to be on my double day list!
OR you can concentrate fully on a few of the items that are really nagging you and do a double double on them and leave the others until tomorrow.
OR you can do twice as many BOOST activities.
A simple way to track this is to aim for double tracking points in your score tracker area.
You can use this to ‘Double BOOST’ any area of your system. So you can also use it to get out and get a little extra exercise, to drink a little more water, to plan an extra super healthy meal.
It’s your choice!
OBJECTIVE: The objective of this game is to create a space to be what our ideal picture is of it. Start with the end in mind. For example, if you find yourself always a little short of having your dishes finished and a clean, clear counter top in your kitchen, aim for that today. Picture what you want your space to look like when you are finished and go for it!
If you can’t finish it, keep your goal in mind to give yourself a big jump on it today and keep working on it regularly in your BOOST time to get it that way. You’ll get there and every day will get better on the way!
TIP: This may be a good day to enlist the help of your family by asking them to do 5 – 10 minutes in your area/s of choice as well. You will be amazed at how much even a little help can put you ahead. If they haven’t been doing much to help out lately you can simply tell them that you really could use the help and 10 minutes in the grand scheme of things isn’t so much.
If they have been doing quite a lot or sticking to their own routines you can bribe them! Pay them or reward them in some way. It’s well worth it to have someone on board and truly double your day!
ACTION STEPS:
1. Identify the method you are going to use …
- double all of your BOOST activities – track it by doubling your tracking point number.
- double only one or a few of the most pressing and possibly doing them for a triple or double double and leave the rest
- double only one or a few of the most pressing and do a single for the others on your list
- do it in one double session or do your BOOST twice today
2. Identify the items you are going to double.
3. Circle them and get to it!

I managed the Double Day Game on Saturday, which is the day of the week that I can devote quite a bit of time to the house. With my music on, the washing machine spinning load after load, the chicken marinating in the fridge, and the dry clothes all put away, I felt I was “in control.”
Doubling-up time devoted to these tasks that are simply crying out to be done worked for me. I spent longer on each one, and was more than satisfied with the results.
I’ll be giving this another go today!
