The BOOST Housework Circuit is the heart of the No KAOS Zone.

We will be doing a lot of things, but this is the one that will help us to stay ‘in action’ every day and help us to get it all done.

We will be looking at a variety of formats as we go along, so if this one doesn’t suit you exactly, don’t worry.

And feel free to tweak it to suit you, that’s part of the beauty of it.

Use it as is or use it as a jumping off point to create something that works for you.

Just remember the most important rule –

You need to be consistant with it.

The truth is that almost anything will work for you if you can do that one thing.

HOW IT WORKS

We will start with creating the habit of working with the BOOST Housework Circuit long enough to get our 10 check marks every day.

There are so many ways that you can use it to work for you.

Here are a few…

  • Do it at one time in the morning.
  • Do it at one time in the evening or any other time of the day.
  • Break it up through the day – an example may be 5 check marks in the morning and 5 at night.
  • One check mark every hour or 2 every 2 – or 2 every hour and so on and so on :0)

The ‘trick’ is to try to be consistent in the time and method that you use to do it so that you will develop the habit. You will probably have to play around a little bit and adjust it at first, and you may find that if your situation changes you may need to change the way you have been doing it, that’s part of the beauty of it -it’s flexible yet provides you with a very strong foundation.

THE IMPORTANT THING

The important thing is to choose how many check marks you want to complete every day and then make it your aim to have them finished before you go to bed. Some days that will mean doing a quick ‘work out’ in the evening to catch up. It may mean doing a few easy ones if you are tired and would rather do some than nothing.

CHOOSE YOUR NUMBER

I’ve used 10 as my base but it does vary sometimes – sometimes I do more – sometimes less. The trick is to choose YOUR number and then try to stick with it on a consistent basis. That will keep your motivation up on the days when you don’t feel like it and it will keep things in fuctioning order on the days that you just can’t do it.

You will be amazed at how easy it is to jump back in. It may look messy in your absence but it’s easy to get back to your ‘baseline’ and never be as unmanageable as it gets without the system – as long as you do your best to be consistent most of the time.

Another thing that helps is to make it up the next day.

The check marks are really a concrete, in your face way to measure what you have done and they give you a solid focus and  tangible way to translate your actions into something you can easily and quickly track. This allows you to make adjustments – ramp it up when you need to – see where you have missed so that you can make it up later – and never feel like you have done nothing.

It is your map to follow so that you never waste time being lost.

THE 21 DAY CHALLENGE

It’s very important that you start out strong so for the first 21 days, I’ve created a tracker sheet for you.

Be sure to do your BOOST Circuit at least 5 days out of each week. Six is better but you will see results with 5.

Take one day off to re-energize and focus on other things so that you start fresh every week.
