Productivity Tip #2 – Plug the Leaks
With people being cautious about how they are spending their money these days, you may have noticed that it has effected your sales.
What to do?
The first thing that I am doing is to make it a point to plug up any of the leaks that I have had going on while I was forging ahead.
I'm doing that by revamping my online business plans – the finer details and a few of the larger ones too.
Things I really should have already done.
Funny, it's no fun having to watch our pennies, but one thing it does is to make us more efficient with what we have, which is always a good thing.
So I've been going over notes of things on my to do list that never got done.
You probably have some of those yourself. The ones that you've known should be done but you've been putting them off for 'someday, when you have time'.
Well, that day is here.
Plan to work a few extra hours or if you have someone else to do it for you, set it up.
Just get it done.
Update and revamp your business plan (if you don't have one, sit down and make one.)
Plug the leaks and get your income flowing.
THINGS I'M STARTING WITH
The things that I am doing are things like fixing links – old affiliate links that need to be updated, new links put up for new product pages, making improvements on sales pages and improving some products and tweaking a few for our current times.
And I will be working on another huge list of ideas to choose from.
WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO START TO PULL UP YOUR SOCKS – BESIDES YOUR FEET…
Alice Seba's Essential Biz Notes this month (up until the 3rd week in November, so grab it now) comes with a bonus report – Online Marketing in Tough Economic Times: 148 Free and Nearly Free Strategies to Promote Your Online Business.
I'm printing mine out, selecting the ones that look the best for me, and getting to work on them.
This report is a bonus that goes with her usual Essential Biz Notes supplement, which comes with her monthly Sweetie Saturday Report, this month is all about Content Distribution – what to do with all that great content so that it get's seen – without that, it's not a lot of good to anyone.
Every report is full of good, actionable information, you can't go wrong.
I've had some online business coaching from Alice over the years and I can say that she gives straight, to the point advice, some of which has been the best I've received, and has directly given me results, which is what we are all looking for.
She's someone to watch, whether you're just starting or have been online for awhile.
Even if you're pinching pennies, $12.97 per month is a great investment, pretty much a no brainer if you can put aside some time each month to do what she suggests, every third Saturday in the Sweetie Saturday Report.
So let's go.
- Figure out what the best use of your time is right now – update, revamp or create your online business plan – large details and small to suit the new economy.
- Make a plan for the best use of your time for the week coming (yup, Alice has a FREE TOOL for that too that is amazingly helpful – get your Internet Sweetie free Business Planner.)
- Select the targets and tasks that you want to hit.
- Get moving.
And remember, have fun. Don't lose sight of what you are trying to do with your business.
What are you trying to say? How are you trying to help?
Why did you start your online business in the first place?
Stay in touch with that and you won't go wrong.
