Treasured Art Work or Paper Work to Treasure?

Just thought I’d pop in and you let you know about a find I made when going through some paperwork this morning.
I used to print a lot of my records on school papers that seemed to overflow around here to recycle.
Now when I find them I hang on to them and think how glad I am that I didn’t throw it out.
It seemed back then that there where too many to keep, and that I would always have them. Now there is not a chance of getting any fancy artwork from my son, he’s 17 and not terribly interested in drawing!
If you are looking for another way to save some of your child’s artwork, you might want to try it. I have binders of old customer invoices that I now am keeping just for the artwork and memories – of my kids!
How about scanning them into your computer? Then you can even go the extra step of opening it up in an image editor and adding a note on the bottom for the artist name and date. Later you can make a slide-show showing how your child progresses over the years. 🙂
That is such a great idea Christine.
It would make a really great gift for relatives and for the kids when they grow up too.
