Up For a Challenge?

Optimizing Your Business

Do you want to speed ahead this week on a project of your choosing?

Something that's been nagging you? Something that you know will increase your income?

If you do, I'd love for you to join my Home Biz Challenge this week.

I had a real eye opening week last week that really came at just the right time for me as I had already been examining my direction and focus in various aspects of my online endevours.

So the result was that I cut the time out that I had been spending on social media – forums, twitter – even browsing ads.

I unsubbed from many of the few things that I had left that typically sent ads for IM networking buddies rather than helpful content. I can't begin to tell you – I've made such progress since on a project that really should have been first and forefront for months now.

I knew better and I was still spending a good chunk of my time on the wrong things.

I am going to have more to say on social networking addiction – it sounds ominous but the truth is, it plays a large part in many people just not getting enough solid WORK done, not even starting to mention the effect on family and our kids.

On top of that, we are coming into the busy season for many of us. What ever you can do now to get the jump on it is going to make it that much better later – so why not got on it?

THE POINT – A CHALLENGE

My point today is to invite you to a challenge. I am closing off all of my social networking channels until the end of the week, probably longer and focusing on getting things done – namely one major project that is connected to one of my major sources of income.

How about you?

Do you have something on the back burner that is costing you money because you haven't been working on it?

If you do, nows the time to jump in and get it done.

ACTION STEPS

1. Choose your project.

2. Focus on it this week at every available time pocket you have.

3. Go for the burn!

4. Set your time limit to be either Friday or next Sunday and give it your best shot to get as much as possible finished – sprint to the finish line!

5. Before you get started, tell your friends what you are doing, that they won't be seeing your around much this week. That way you won't feel guilty or like you should be 'out there'. They may even want to join you and get a jump on their own neglected projects too.

WHICH DO YOU CHOOSE…

The funny thing is that it might be something you have been putting off because it seemed too overwhelming.

That's why I have had this one sitting here so long, even though it was causing me major slow downs in other areas – including income.

But I'm finding that now that I've dug in, it's easy. I'm making steady progress and it feels great.

So much better than leaving it sitting here while I chat away my time.

If you'd like to join me, feel free to post your project link or info, before you start and after, or make it your goal to pop in when you're finished to show off your hard work.

Hope to see you!
