Time Management – A Productive Time Ratio
I was looking over some notes I have made and found a quote that I wrote on a post it by Alex Mandosian – a well known and successful internet marketer.
He says that spending 90% of your time on traffic and conversion is the secret to jump the hurdle, spend no more than 10% of your time on technology.
The gist of it is, spend more time on planning, content, product, traffic and conversion (getting sales) and less time playing behind the scenes on templates, set up etc.
It makes perfect sense and is a challenge that I am making a point of to conquer.
BUT IT NEEDS TO BE DONE!
The best way to look at it is that you need to spend your time doing what you are good at and only you can do. If you can outsource, eliminate or automate the rest, that is what you should be doing.
You may not be able to make the change overnight, but work on it piece by piece and voila! – the ratio should turn around.
It basically sums up the concept of working on or in your business, something everyone should take notice of if they are trying to grow a business.
WHAT ABOUT TRAFFIC?
As I type I am listening to the free video's recently put out by John Reese of the now famous Traffic Secrets course.
He's talking about the importance of having lots of content as doorway pages on search engines to your websites and planning your content – do you do that?
And now he's getting to the juicy stuff about how you can distribute your content these days, over the web by automation over various networks including social networks.
I can't wait to find out exactly how to do all of these things.
I purchased the first version of Traffic Secrets right before he took it off the market.
It is jam packed full of timeless traffic generating ideas that were cutting edge at the time.
To be honest, I haven't even used all of it and listen to it often still.
There seems to be something new every time I listen to it.
Like many others, I'm patiently waiting for the release of Traffic Secrets 2.0.
There have been so many changes in the marketing world over the past few years that I can't wait to dive in.
I will definitely be making the purchase as soon as it comes out, I think on the 15th of this month.
It's cheaper this time around as well, so I am really looking forward to it.
Check out the free videos now at "Traffic Secrets".
They will be worth your time!
