Since this is a long weekend and Family Day for us in Canada I thought it would be very fitting to post this video I made about my father in law and some of the things that I learned from him. He recently passed away very suddenly.

I find that people seem to almost run in the background when they are here, it’s so easy to take them for granted. Then one day they are gone.

It’s up to us today to do what we need to do to be able to look back without regrets.

So maybe today, or sometime over this weekend is a good time to be sure to do something with your family, be it so small as taking an extra 10 minutes to have a real conversation with your children and partner.

Or a phone call you’ve been meaning to make or a visit to a friend or family member.

My father in law was very special and always made us feel that way. That’s what I remember him the most for.

How about you?

What do you want to be remembered for by the important people in your life?

And don`t forget – seize the day – every day.
