Here’s How to Manage Your Time – Day 7

Day 7 – Pulling It All Together
So here we are.
The end of the week.
Have you learned a lot about making time management work for you?
Are you seeing the big picture?
How time management is really a cog in the wheel of life management.
Never forget.
It's your life.
Bottom line – no one is going to manage your life for you.
You need to decide what are your hopes and dreams and find a way to take a step forward, and then to take another one. Even if it's a baby step at a time.
Sometimes it may seem like you will never get there. Sometimes you will have to change your plans. Sometimes you will even change your dreams.
But one thing is for sure. There is nothing like the feeling of getting somewhere. Anywhere.
Even one small step forward.
When we become MOM, it somehow seems to get complicated and difficult.
It takes effort to find and implement the balancing act that is necessary to pull it all off.
But without that effort, it's even harder and the consequences can be heartbreaking as the years pass and you think about what you 'could have done' – both for yourself and for your family.
So today is the day.
One more thing. Before you do anything else, today and every day take time to give thanks for all that you have.
It somehow makes everything better.
“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.”
~Cicero
Here's a recap.
Day 1 – Introduction –Time Management = Success.
What does it take? Boundaries, self confidence, self discipline and a positive attitude.
Day 2 – Success Comes from Within
How your attitude about yourself will ultimately determine your happiness.
Day 3 – How to Create a Schedule – that Works for You
Get rid of the excess. Keep it simple, visible, convenient and pleasant to use.
Day 4 – How to Choose a Planner – that Works for You
Think out of the box. What is your style?
Day 5 – Do Your Children Need a Schedule?
Working with your children to develop their time management skills when they are young can reap huge rewards when they are older – for them and for you.
Day 6 – Learning to Ask for Help and to Say No
One of the key foundations to successful time/life management. And again, mastering this skill is a great gift to your kids – even though they won't thank you for it for a few years!
ACTion Tips
- Go through the course and pay special attention to the ACTion Tips. Grab the ideas and actions that especially stand out to you – look for the 'take aways' in this course that you can USE and then use them. Consistently.
- Make a Plan. Grab a chair and a quiet corner, even if you have to get up really early to do it or plunk the kids in front of the tv for awhile. Get creative and brainstorm what you'd really like and HOW you'd really like to do it. What works for YOU? Plug that into your system.
- Get rid of what you can. That includes clutter. And anything that is dragging you down without purpose. Ask yourself – does it work for you? You will find that when clutter of all kinds are gone, you will think better, be calmer, a better role model and other things will start to fall in place. One word of warning – it's an ongoing battle (like you didn't already know!)
- Keep it simple.
- Keep doing it.
