This morning as I was standing at the microwave rewarming my coffee, I decided to do something. Literally. I punched in 40 seconds and instead of just standing there, I decided to do a 40 second clean up of some clutter that was left on my kitchen yesterday. At the end of 40 seconds, it was gone.
Over the weekend I noticed my 15 year old daughter doing odd things. She was throwing bottles in the recycling bin. She was asking for the paper shredder because she had paper to shred in her room. Finally I had to ask. What the heck is going on???
n honour of the fresh spring day we are having - NOT! I am thinking that today would be a good day to declutter with some spring freshness in mind. What is stale and boring in your house?
I'm pumped this week because I started on the Spring Into Spring Cleaning Challenge yesterday, and the first day was a declutter day. So I am all ready to roll with the great results that I got. I took a picture of the booty.
This week I am going to bite the bullet and declutter the fridge, it is in dire need of some attention. Having a clean fridge not only looks better, but it is healthier to be able to find good food! And it's so much more motivating to open a fridge that looks inviting.

I have been on a mission this past week to rid the house of cat and dog hair. Sleeping on a fur blanket wasn't my idea of fun! Especially when it was supposed to be cotton!

Hmmm, I'm not sure myself. I'm almost running out of piles!

I think I've made a break through.
In all of the years that I've spent skullying around, cleaning this, sorting that… catching on that I needed a system and routine… really made a difference around here.
And then I started doing a weekly decluttering session, thanks to Mimi Tanner's Declutter Fast system, that bumped me up another [...]

Having a cluttered home can feel like a permanent condition as it is often so hard to get on top of it… and to keep it that way.
I have found a few tricks that really help to keep it all under control.
