Declutter Day Rolls Around Again - Freshen Things Up?

May 3rd, 2008 · No Comments

Spring Cleaning

In honour of the fresh spring day we are having - NOT! I am thinking that today would be a good day to declutter with some spring freshness in mind.

What is stale and boring in your house?

What could go and be replaced either with a sparkling clean and shining surface to welcome spring - or a vase of fresh flowers?

How to Get Self Discipline - Make It a Non-Negotiable

April 30th, 2008 · No Comments

Non-negotiable time managment

Most of the time once we've figured out what we need need to do, and how we need to do it, we are often baffled at the next stage.

We actually do it for awhile, then suddenly we find ourselves drifting.

Something else comes along that throws out of our habit. Suddenly the time we had seems to have been swallowed up and we can't seem to find it again.

Spring Into Spring Cleaning Challenge Is On!

April 28th, 2008 · No Comments

OPEN APRIL 1 - JUNE 31

Spring Cleaning

If you have been himm'n and haw'n about getting your spring cleaning finished - or started - you should have a look at our Spring Into Spring Cleaning Challenge.

I am 4 days in and amazed at how 'springy' it is feeling in my bedroom, the first room on the chopping block during the challenge - and how much I look forward to doing my 20 minutes every day. Probably because it makes such a big difference in such a short period of time.

Is It THAT Time Already?

 Declutter Day

It sure is! I'm pumped this week because I started on the Spring Into Spring Cleaning Challenge yesterday, and the first day was a declutter day. So I am all ready to roll with the great results that I got.

I took a picture of the booty.

The great thing is that I had been keeping it up so I didn't think that I would have much. I did have to dig into closets, shelves etc, there wasn't much just laying around and I took an extra 5 minutes to get some books out of a drawer that I wanted to get rid of - part of the beauty - sometimes 20 minutes will inspire you to do just a little bit more.

Declutter Day Rolls Around Again - How’s Your Fridge?

April 20th, 2008 · No Comments

How To Declutter - 10 Tips to Control Clutter

This week I am going to bite the bullet and declutter the fridge, it is in dire need of some attention.

Having a clean fridge not only looks better, but it is healthier to be able to find good food! And it's so much more motivating to open a fridge that looks inviting.

I joined Fit Yummy Mummy almost 3 months ago, and I have to say, my fridge has been the better for it. I have a much larger variety of veggies etc than I ever used to, and I even eat them! But I know that I would make more progress if I was more organized in that department, so I am looking forward to getting this done.

10 Spring Cleaning Tips - From Boring to Beautiful

April 20th, 2008 · No Comments

Spring Cleaning

Is spring cleaning time a time that you enjoy as you renew and refresh your house in the fresh spring air?

Or is it something that you do because "it's that time of the year again".

When the weather is good, I enjoy it. But if it is a dismal spring with lots of rain and clouds, I never seem to get very motivated.

How To Declutter - 10 Tips to Control Clutter

I found myself tackling my TAKE 5 mission this morning, and it led me to my closet, I wanted to put some boxes from under my bed to my closet, but I had to declutter some stuff first.

I forgot that today is Declutter Day so found myself puttering around, decluttering a little here and a little there, now I feel better - killing 2 birds with one stone.

It is such a nice day that I am going to relax and putter some more to get some odds and ends finished.
