Hi Jan,
Peace, order, balance equals joy. Aah, soothing words this morning. Too much chaos leads to grumpiness and frustration. Thank you for helping me to sort it all out.
Would you consider submitting your posts to my blog carnival called, “Staying Young – from the inside out”? This would fit in well under the expertise category. Feeling competent and knowing what to do next helps everyone feel better about life and themselves.

You picked a scary topic, Jan! Thank you for bringing this up. I have a bad habit of wandering away from the stove when I’m cooking or leaving things to cook whilst I shower. I will stop doing that. And I’ll remember to keep lids and oven mitts nearby too. Thank you
- I Feel So Clean – New Site Makeover
Hi Jan,
The new look is very crisp and clean – I like it! I love the “link within” widget. I just added it to my own blog this week. I love the images because they draw my attention and allow me to choose another page to read.I’m connected to a group of women bloggers who would adore this site and your tips! The Secret is in the Sauce is the name of this blog comment support group. You can find it here: thesitsgirls.com
The membership is mostly made up of mommy bloggers who would love tips for time saving and de-cluttering. Get connected! I think you will find a new tribe of (over 5000) women to connect with for fun and for interesting blog post ideas.
- My Simple Goal Setting Plan
Hi Jan,
Wow! This is one of the few times that I’ve actually read through the comments. Excellent article! When I get frazzled, it’s because I’m trying to do too many things at the same time. My circuits get jammed and I have to STOP. Then, I pick up one thing at a time. As I conclude each task, I stop and acknowledge that I completed something. I just say “that’s done” and take a deep breath before I move onto the next thing. It helps me to recognize and appreciate that I’m making progress. One step at a time…I’m not wired to do more than that, no matter how much I argue to be wired differently.

Hi Cheryl, you’ve really hit it on the head – chaos does lead to grumpiness and frustration – life is just too short to be defeated by something that is in our control – most of the time!
It also saps our energy which is why it can be such an insidious thing.
Focus + Action One Step at a Time = Freedom
Hi Belinda, me too! There is nothing to me like the feeling of watching things leave the building! It’s been a process, I used to like to watch them come in. It’s been an ongoing process – I’m still working on it – but it just gets better and better. Love those clear spaces!! I look forward to having you here!
Hi Jan,
I think I actually breathed deeper and relaxed some while reading this great post.
It’s all about the plan for sure. Focus… Do not get distracted by those bright shiny objects. Plan your work and work your plan.
Nice post. Thanks.
Rich
Thanks Rich! That’s nice to hear. I’ve come to realize that the times when I am more relaxed are the times when I am truly living, so that is my aim – to relax and enjoy using my own attitude first – why not?
It’s so easy to get distracted, even when trying not to, by almost anything! After even a few days of truly focusing on what we really want rather than on the wild goose chases of life, it becomes obvious at how much better and easier things can be.
