You Inc.

A messy house is much more than just the place we live.

It is an illustration for all to see, of what we think we deserve, what we are hiding from, our boundaries, our priorities and the strength of our sense of self.

BUT THAT'S NOT ME

If you have a bunch of kids at home and are feeling the impossibility and futility of staying on top of things, and are saying to yourself right now – but that's not me – you are right.

It isn't.

I remember a friend saying this very thing once.

I'M IN HERE… SOMEWHERE…

Somewhere in the laundry, the diapers and the snacks is buried your sense of self.

If you want to find it again, remember firstly that we don't need perfection, we need to be real.

Real about our situation, what we can do and what we are willing to let go of for now.

SOMETIMES IT'S A MATTER OF HANGING ON…

Situations change with the seasons and sometimes it's a matter of hanging on.

There is no shame in that.

The most important thing is that you don't internalize the guilt… the fear… the shame.

Who ever you are measuring yourself against does not have the same situation as you do.

There is one variable somewhere that is making the difference.

Sometimes it comes down to one cog in the wheel.

CAN YOU FIND YOURS?

Once you identify it, ask yourself what you can do about it?

And then don't waste a minute to try.

And if that doesn't work, try something else.

OR ACCEPT IT

Life is not perfection.

Sometimes loving and being thankful for what we have is the key we need to unlock the doors to a happy life.

For us and for those who are counting on us.

Keep your spirit up, love your kids, your family and your home.

And somewhere in there, remember to love your self.

A FUNNY THING HAPPENS… LOL

The funny thing is that when you do that, suddenly you have more energy, laser focus and a new view of life around you.

You become solution oriented instead of beaten, you do things one small step at a time – you move forward almost without thinking about it – you take control of the things that you CAN control – and you find acceptance within yourself.

You allow yourself to hope again.

There is one place that it all stems from.

You Inc.

You have it in you.

Now it's time to go through that dirty laundry pile and find it :0)
