Baked Candy Apple Surprise
What You Need:
- 4 Red Delicious Apples, cored half way through and peeled 1/3 down from top
- 16 red hot candy pieces
- 8 miniature marshmallows
How to Make It:
- Place the apples in a microwave safe baking dish leaving a little room between each apple.
- Place 1 piece of candy in the center of each of the apples.
- Place 1 marshmallow in the center of each apple.
- Cover the dish.
- Place in the microwave on medium high power (70%) for 7 minutes.
- Place another candy piece and another marshmallow in the center of each apple.
- Turn the apples a half turn.
- Recover and continue microwaving for an additional 6 minutes.
- Allow apples to stand 5 minutes before removing from the microwave.
- Pour any sauce in the pan over the apples before serving.
Serves 4
This is a quick and easy snack that any child will love to sink their teeth into. For an extra treat place a small amount of caramel sauce over the apple before serving.
