Magical Handmade Christmas Decor
Christmas can be a magical time.
Christmas decorations through out your home are one of the best ways to show it.
Especially handmade Christmas decorations, made at home by the family.
HOLIDAY DECORATING IDEAS
You can really use your creativity and come up with some fantastic Christmas crafts to create together.
CREATE AN ADVENT PAPER CHAIN: For example, even little ones can help you create a paper chain that you can use to count down the days to Christmas much like an advent calendar.
HANG HANDMADE SNOWFLAKES OR CHRISTMAS BULBS: Or maybe you want to do something even more creative. Have everyone in the family sit down and cut out paper snowflakes. Take clear fishing line and hang them from the ceiling for instant holiday ambiance.
This can be really nice to decorate a window. String them at random lengths for a really special effect. A bit of glitter added can be really nice.
CHRISTMAS BAKING NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE
Do not forget about including your family in your annual Christmas baking as well. No matter what you are baking, you will be able to find jobs for family members of all ages.
Not only would it be great to have the help, but it will help to create memories that you won’t soon forget.
Nothing looks better or homier than a table decorated with home baking and Christmas treats.
HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS GIFTS
Homemade Christmas decorations are the perfect thing to give. What grandmother, aunt, mom or dad doesn't like getting a homemade Christmas gift from one of their young relatives.
And who doesn't like to receive a unique Christmas decoration that can be pulled out year after year with a special feeling for the person who made it, no matter what their age?
The point?
Christmas isn't really all about shopping or rushing through crowds just to get 'something' for the people that you 'have' to buy for. There's a lot more to it than that, and some of it can even be avoided by getting back on track to the true meaning behind Christmas.
And I don't mean this as a cliche.
Slow down this year.
Get back to basics.
Involve your kids, remember to spend time with them.
Make your home feel like Christmas.
You can't buy that in a store.

WANT SOME HELP?
I've put together a Big Christmas List of things that help me to be organized and have added in a collection of recipes booklets to help make it even easier to have a do it yourself Christmas.
If you're feeling lost and tired of searching around, grab this free resource. I'm using it myself and I have to say, I'm impressed with the Christmas feel in our home this year.
