Declutter Day

It sure is! I'm pumped this week because I started on the Spring Into Spring Cleaning Challenge yesterday, and the first day was a declutter day. So I am all ready to roll with the great results that I got.

I took a picture of the booty.

The great thing is that I had been keeping it up so I didn't think that I would have much. I did have to dig into closets, shelves etc, there wasn't much just laying around and I took an extra 5 minutes to get some books out of a drawer that I wanted to get rid of – part of the beauty – sometimes 20 minutes will inspire you to do just a little bit more.

I still managed to get a good load.

The time limit was a real determining factor. I had worried that it wasn't enough time, but the motto is "Progress not Perfection", and 20 minutes of less clutter is 20 minutes of less clutter, no matter how you slice it.

So in my haste, I was making crack decisions and it was just easier and more efficient (on steroids!) to get rid of it than to him and haw about it while the NEW TIMER that I treated myself to was ticking.

I haven't picked my declutter project for today, if I can't think of anything, I am going to just set my timer and roll with it – and declutter!

I hope that you will come aboard with us, you can do a declutter session once a week, or you can go whole hog and get your house into shape for summer holidays.

We are just starting out with our Spring Into Spring Cleaning Challenge now, so you haven't missed much.

You can read some interesting trivia about some of the items that I decluttered at my First Day of the Spring Into Spring Challenge blog post.

It's open until June 31, why not do it now?
