I try to be as ready as possible, it makes spontanious trips to the beach more fun and cuts down on a lot of time and frustration.
Here is what I do to try to stay on my toes for the next time I hear “Can we go to the beach?”

Today I was hanging laundry on the line. It was a spectacularly beautiful day, bright and breezy, when I bent over to get more clothes out of the basket I felt the heat of the sun.
So I thought I’d post this reminder to any of you who are using a clothes dryer instead of a clothes line. You are not only missing out on FREE LAUNDRY, another immensly satisfying part of the process, you are missing out on some really luxurious moments in the great outdoors.
I remember when my kids where all quite small, it was my “breathe of fresh air”. Of course I never got finished without being interupted, but hanging out the laundry and taking it in was still a bright point in my day. I remember I used to savour the moments and fold it when I took it off the line.
