What are you going to declutter this week?
If your tree or Christmas stuff is still up, time to take it down, even if it still looks nice.
Don’t forget to sort all of your tree ornaments nicely so that it will be easy to put up again next year. And declutter as you go.
Get rid of anything that you don’t like or has worn out.
I did this last year and I couldn’t believe how much more fun it was to put up this year and how nice it looked.
I choose to do a red, white and silver theme for this year, so it made it quite easy.

As you know, the clock is ticking already.
Are you prepared for gift giving this year?
If not, now is the time to get the jump on it, so for our decluttering this week, how about having a look
at your gift giving plans?
I am doing most of mine online, or making them so I am almost covered but I need to make a plan for
the ones I have left and get to it.
I’m going to make a list, and check it twice :0)

What to declutter today?
Christmas is coming, it’s still a little early to get into decorating I think, probably next week it will be something to keep in mind though.
So how about if we tackle the “big ugly” today!
Do you have a corner or a pile that nags you every time you see it?

Although I could spend some more time finishing up a few decluttering projects, I am going to spend some time today decluttering with Christmas in mind.
Where are we putting the tree? Maybe a nice Christmas display? Maybe wash some windows if it isn’t too cold, for some window decorations.
I have always been the original scrooge at Christmas (except when I was a kid!) It usually has just been all too much.
But this year I can already see a difference. I am actually looking forward to the fun of decorating and even gift giving.
Why? For one reason, the house is for the most part looking pretty good, so it will be much easier to actually decorate.

WHAT’S UP TODAY?
Today I am having a home day and doing some general clean up that has got pushed aside as I dealt with having to purchase and set up a new computer and trying to solve the problem of having no wheels since my van blew a motor a few weeks ago. Damn!
Anyway, I got a good deal at the computer store, so I am happily getting settled in here. But as you can see, my office has taken a beating!
So I am decluttering here today, getting rid of the mess and tackling a few paper piles that have been piling up.
I am still enjoying the results from decluttering my basement bathroom last week.

This Saturday, we are out and about too much for me to take time to enjoy a decluttering session, so I am going to do it tomorrow.
What will I do? My supplies closet is finished, I am going to pick up a few things on Wed for storage that I promised myself to fancy it up a bit, I’ll be posting pictures of the whole process this week when it is ready. I’m very pleased that I was able to take a humdrum job and really make it more fun by going a step further into decorating and sorting.
I was so impressed that I wrote an article called “A Home for Everything“, on my time management for mom’s site - www.a-matter-of-time.com . You can sign up for my weekly time management newsletter there as well. I am redesigning the site, so you will probably find a few things that aren’t matching up, but I am really liking the new design.
So, what am I decluttering this week? I think I will tackle our basement bathroom. It is often used and getting a little out of control with stuff that shouldn’t be there. Being in the basement with the utility sink, it’s a lot easier to dump things there. Although I’m still not sure who left the toilet plunger in the shower, that is really pushing the envelope!

This Saturday, I am happy to say that I will be finishing up my office supplies closet, finally.
It was a big project, but so worth it. I got rid of so much stuff I feel 100lbs lighter.
I also have been able to move a few things into the closet that I was keeping around my office, so it’s freed up some space here.
I will post a picture later today, just wanted to get this off to you now so that you would have the day to fit in a bit of declutter time.
Remember, if you’d like to keep up 5 minutes per day through the week, you can sign up for our Take 5, Bootcamp for Dustbunnies, it only takes 5 minutes!

Today is once again D Day - Declutter!
Today, I am working on a project that I started a few days ago, you can see a picture of the original mess and also some good ideas on tackling your office supply cabinet (or closet in my case) by clicking the link below.
ORGANIZE YOUR OFFICE SUPPLY CABINET
It was a bigger job than I thought but it’s coming along.
Already a lot of things have gone packing, either to the garbage or the library or to donate.
