We are going to get the easter eggs today for our Easter Egg hunt. I am going to get a few extras for cookies.
Just use your favourite cookie recipe, it can be any kind almost, and put either some easter egg pieces, just crunch them up, or some pieces of left over easter bunny, what ever you have works.
It’s a great way to use too much candy too. Just throw it in the freezer (well, hide it in the freezer) and use it when you make cookies.
At our house with so many relatives too much candy was always a problem. Now the kids are older it isn’t such an issue, I can’t believe I’m actually contemplating buying extra for cookies.
But the coloured eggs are only around this time of year and they do make nice cookies :0)
Hint: when I add candy of any kind to cookies, I cut the sugar called for in the recipe - I usually do this already, so I cut it even more. It’s amazing how little sugar you can used to, they still taste great, regular cookies often taste too sweet to me.
