The summer slipped by me again and I didn’t get one of the major items accomplished that I had wanted to - painting!
We’ve managed to get the house generally decluttered but in some places it still looks kind of crappy because we need to spruce up the paint here and there.
So I am going to declare the rest of September to be painting month.
I have a bit of decluttering left to do but I don’t want to spend much time on it. I found this book called Declutter Fast that I am going to use to help me speed up the process.
And then I am on to painting - looking forward to spending the winter in a fresh and comforting… colourful house!
Do you have some things you need to spruce up before winter? (while it’s still nice enough to open windows)
It’s a gorgeous Sept day here, especially welcome after about a week of cold, dismal rain, so I am off to get started!
How about you get any decluttering out of your way as fast as you can, and then spend the rest of the month focusing on sprucing things up with a little paint.
Have fun! And be daring. You can always paint over it :0)
If you want to learn the secrets to Declutter Fast, decluttering - we all need to do it even though it’s so overwhelming - but the results make me feel great - check out this book.
“I am fascinated with the subject of decluttering. Why? Because there is nothing in this world that feels quite the same as looking around your home and seeing it in order and glowing. And there’s nothing more energy-draining than living with clutter.” Mimi Tanner
