I couldn’t believe my eyes this morning when I woke up and remembered that I had meant to look at my toe yesterday because it was irritating me.
I kept thinking I was going to do it, then got on to something else and never did.
So, when I woke up, it immediately started bugging me again, so I had a peak.
I had a very small piece of stone between my toe, no wonder it was bugging me! And I slept with it, all night!
It immediately made me question how many other “stones I have between my toes” in my life. And how many I’ve been pulling over-nighters with.
How many things are really bugging me but I don’t take the few minutes it will take to fix them, or even examine them to see what is wrong. How many things have been running in the background for too long?
A good example of this comes from Carole Pagan’s “Whole Life Overhaul“. She is the one who is responsible for my new habit of checking the bathroom and doing a quick swipe before I go to bed.
A very small thing that has made a big difference. I no longer have “gas station bathroom sydrome” (especially with a mystery sprinkler in the house).
ACTION TIP
Is there something that has been running in the background, something that may be small (or even large) that you have been ignoring?
Take a minute to either find out what it is and figure out how you can fix it.
If it’s something reoccuring, or that you need to schedule, do it right now. (If you have time to be reading this blog, you have time to pick up the phone and make an appointment)
If it’s a larger task, make note and put it in what ever calender/scheduler you are using.
If you aren’t using one, stay tuned!
the reward.
