Halloween, Is It Creeping Up On You?

We did quite well this year in preparing for Halloween, got a few nifty decorations up well before the day, and got costumes picked out in plenty of time due to my daughter’s insistence, she’s the organized one.

But I was disappointed because I had told her we where not spending a lot of money on costumes, or buying one. So guess who comes walking out of the store with a princess ready made costume (that cost a small fortune)?

She loves it, and in some ways I’m glad that I did, but part of the problem was that I had no concrete options to give her - telling her that we can make one with a few cheap accessories doesn’t cut it.

So when I came across this, I was wishing I had it before we went shopping. If you haven’t yet, or are in need of some last minute ideas, check it out - Make Your Child’s Halloween Costume - over 90 costume ideas…

One more Halloween find…

I love pumpkins at Halloween, they are just plain fun. But cutting them out can be a chore and they never look as good as these ones. I wanted to do something special this year for Halloween as I see my kids growing older, my son isn’t even trick or treating (he’s 17 so it’s to be expected but still…)

Anyway, why not paint some funky pumpkins? The decoration possibilities are endless, not to mention fun Halloween memories…
