Over 7 years working online, I've spent a lot of time and money researching tools and in trial and error to make it better and to make it easier.

 

Below you will see everything you need to get up and running, and to keep it that way.

 

These are my own personal favourites that I use most days in my own business.

 

 

 

Hostgator - I like this one because the live customer service is excellent and because it is a really good deal if you have multiple websites. It also has cpanel including Fantastico, a feature I wouldn't do without.

 

Mom Webs - Also has cpanel with Fantastico, and amazing customer support. If you don't have many websites, this one is highly recommended. You can host multiple sites with this service if you wish as well.

 

SBI/Site Build It - an all in one package that combines hosting with a complete online business education and all the tools you will ever need to use it. It is more expensive than the other options but if you are a newbie and don't want a hassle or learning curve when putting up your website, this package is well worth looking into, with complete web templates for you to use - no web design knowledge needed - but if you like the package, you are free to use your own html for greater design flexibility. Great affiliate program as well to help offset the cost.

namecheap -as it's name implies, good pricing to register your domain name with no hassles (I've had a nightmare dealing with another registrar who billed me a hefty price for hosting that I didn't order.)

Static Blogging by Christine Knowlton and Stacie Bennett - A don't miss classic if you want to use wordpress as your website platform (and there are many reasons to do so). This course is a one time purchase, very reasonably priced for what you get. It is worth many times more in terms of what it can do for you and your online presence. It also comes in both PDF and video format and is THE reason that I was able to set up my blog properly and blog my little heart out.

Blog Mastermind - by Yarrow Starok - this class is closed right now, watch this blog to find out when it reopens which I hear should be soon. This course has been the basis of my web business moving in the right direction and I've just touched the tip of the iceburg so far. Still working on it!

If you'd like to create good information products in a membership format (not necessarily a never ending membership) this is the best course I've taken, as with all of his learning products. It comes in a weekly format for a total of 12 months. You can quit anytime, but I don't know who would want to. It's the other high points of my week. Watch for my membership courses coming soon! You can bet they'll be good because now I know exactly how to set them up (after years of wondering).

Another Jimmy D favourite is List and Traffic, an ongoing membership worth far more than it costs, each month new instruction on a new list or traffic method. I wouldn't think of canceling.

 

 

 

Alice Seba is another of my long time favourites. She has been "working the web" for many years and was my first inspiration to see that earning money online really can be done.
