Work at Home Productivity Tips -

Children of mom's who work from home have an interesting challenge.

Their mom is home, but not always accessible.

They need to learn to walk the fine line between mommy time and mommy work time.

Sometimes, moms who work at home find out that the main goal of working from home - to be there for the kids - has somehow become a bigger challenge than anticipated.

I've worked from home for 7 years, not counting various direct sales ventures before I started my own business.

And if I have one regret, it's that I let my work at home life overshadow my home life, even though that wasn't how it was supposed to be.

Looking back, I could have done it differently if…

1. I had been prepared and known in advance just how hard it was going to be, I had no idea.

2. I had a plan that would have made it easier to spend quality time with the kids. Something concrete that we could look forward to. A done deal.

3. I had realized that the work was always going to be there, but my children are not. It may not seem like it today, but they are going to grow up and you will miss them, even more so if you spent most of the time on the phone, or in front of your computer doing things that you will not even remember 5 years from now.

If you are a mom working at home, no doubt you are facing the same challenges.
