Benchmarking - reviewing and making note of the things that you HAVE done can be an excellent way to give yourself inspiration and to pick up in plenty of time, the areas where you may be lagging behind. It's a good thing for everyone to do on a regular basis.
Moving slowly in business sometimes is truly excruciating! Slow to get projects finished. Slow to make sales. Slow to create the vision that you once had. Slow. That word can also spell a slow death for your business. The kind that you may not see coming. The kind that you just can't put your finger on.
When you work with focus on any project, your inner chatter takes the back seat. Just think how much more energy that gives you and how much more you can get done.
I should know better.
I KNOW the power of setting yourself up, creating a firm foundation to work from etc etc.
Hate when that happens. How about you?
This poem by Nick Cernis, who wrote the Todoodlist, sums up perfectly the way that I have been feeling the past few years - finding that less is more and that it is easy these days to find that you have sped right by the best things in life in trying to do more. Sometimes you have to do. Sometimes you have to be (minus the beeps).
