When You Work At Home…

I see this question or some variation of it quite often.

Work at home mom's and dad's are concerned because it is soooo easy to get sucked in and work, work, work.

Next thing you know, it's bedtime and ironically, the kids have spent most of the day without you.

HOW DID THAT HAPPEN

A few things can be going on that can easily tip the scales in favour of more time with your business than you intend.

• the feeling that if you can just push now, you will be able to make it up later.
• more to do in your business than you anticipated – there just aren't enough hours to get it all done
• you need the money

LETS HAVE A LOOK

Turns out that there's quite a bit to say on the topic so we'll explore it in depth over the next three days. 

We'll start with what seems to be our first instinct when we are fresh into a new business and raring to go. 

Push Now, Play Later – It Sounded Good at the Time…

It's true that when you start a business it often takes more effort to see less results. In time the results grow and you can cut back on the time spent setting things up and developing your online presence. 

There are a few things to ask yourself meantime.

Is it worth it?

You know your own situation and what your priorities have to be.

Will it really make a difference if I spend a little more time with my family as I build my business?

Be sure to look at it from both sides. Will it really make a difference to your business if you take a 10 minute break once a day to read a special story or chat with your teen as they are getting ready to head out the door.

And will it really make a difference to your toddler or teen if you don't? 

Will I regret my decision later?

Sounds heavy, but these are the things we do repeatedly every day and they add up, one way or the other.  think it through now and you won't be sorry later. 

Another question.

What if I spend all my time building and it flops. Will it have been worth the price?

Bottom line…you can never get this time back.

Choose wisely.
