What You Need to Know About Doing the Right Thing In Your Business

Productivity

We've all heard the phrase 'you need to be doing the RIGHT things'.

I use it all the time.

But how do you know that it's the right thing.

You have to ask yourself one question…

"is this going to increase my bottom line?"

How do you know that? (if it isn't ice cream!)

Sometimes you don't, but there are a few things you can do to find out.

Lets use forum marketing to get more traffic as a simple example.

Step One:

1. Test the water.

Want to build a presence on a forum to grow your traffic? Find out which one you get the best results from by trying a few for a little while.

Step Two:

2. Watch the numbers.

After you've tested the waters, you will be getting some numbers. check your stats. How much traffic are you getting from your forum posts? Not much? Does one forum stand out well above the other? Now you know. You need to concentrate your efforts on that forum.

Step Three:

3. Concentrate your efforts.

We've come full circle. Test the water by going wide and being observant. Watch the numbers as they come in and jump on the trends. Use the numbers. This is one example of how you can work smarter and head in the direction of doing the right things.

WHAT NOT TO DO

It sounds obvious, but how many of us spend hours posting in forums here and there just 'for the heck of it' and consider it working on the business.

If that's something you want to do as an extracurricular in your off time for fun, go ahead. But don't do it during your work hours and call it business, unless of course, the numbers are backing you up.

THE BOTTOM LINE?

You need to use your head.

Use your own common sense.

You are going for results. That's all that matters.

More traffic, more subscribers, more products, more sales.

Choose the activity that will get you there.

And work on it whole heartedly.

WANT TO WRITE AN ARTICLE LIKE THIS ONE?

Article marketing for traffic is one of the right things.

When you do it the right way.

Lately I have been writing 2 – 3 articles per day, no guff.

It's amazing. I am having a blast AND finally getting down to doing what I love.

Compare this to having problems getting 3 articles per month written for guest spots that I love writing for, it's nothing short of amazing.

This article is a companion to an article I just submitted to my page at EzineArticles. It should be live soon, it's titled 'Time to Get Noticed'. You can subscribe to get all of my articles so you won't miss it.

Presently all of the articles I've submitted are on working at home and dealing with overwhelm and getting things done.

You can check it out, new articles will be added daily as time goes on.

MY SECRET

Get the dirt on the secret that I discovered to writing better quality articles, more often and what to do with them. AND see them in action…
