Time Management Tips #1 – Mindset
Can you tell time?
Many times during my day, I'm sure that I can't! Why?
Because I often find myself rushing, even when I really don't have to.
I automatically go into panic mode if I have something I 'must' do, without even taking a minute to calculate how much time the task will take, and how much time I've got to do it.
TIME MANAGEMENT IS AN ATTITUDE
Again, it's all about mindset.
If you think you're rushed. You are.
Even if you're not.
It's kind of ironic.
Maybe even moronic!
DISTRACTION SETS IN
On the other side of the coin, I often find myself short for time because I didn't plan on a host of distractions that I continually see fit to indulge in.
Email – Twitter – Stats – Blogs – Surfing etc… etc…
A minute here and a minute there can add up to – running late.
And suddenly I'm justified for rushing.
- If you're always in a hurry, maybe you need to look at your mindset – if it's set on 'auto rush' – unset it.
- if you find yourself distracted – get out your trusty timer, set yourself some boundaries – and focus until you are finished.
Who knows, maybe you'll find that you have some time left over!
