One of the most important things to create improvement and productivity in your business is focus.
One of the best ways to maintain focus is to plan and to work on one thing at a time, that's what it's all about.
If you can do this repeatedly, you will see results very quickly.
Theming your work week, month or even day is one of the best ways to accomplish this in a balanced manner.
Put aside one time pocket per day to work on your themed task, and you will rocket your productivity and improve results.
This week I talk about my results during the month of March in using a theme and time pocket to get things done.

I’m not a WAHM, Jan, but I always enjoy your productivity tips. I finally subscribed through iTunes and look forward to a lot more podcasts.

Definitely good advice to actually check your plan regularly after writing it down Jan. It’s so easy to plan and forget. A total waste of time.

Hi Jan, it also helps me to make a list and I like your idea of time pockets - it helps me tremendously to set my timer for 15 minutes and focus on just one task, which is kinda the same as what you’re talking about.
Thanks for the tips!

Hi JoLynn, thanks for the onlineclock resource, I will check it out.
I need a timer that will stick to my forhead! I had one that I could wear around my neck once, but I lost it :0)
It always amazes me at how much can be accomplished in a very short, focused time period.
I need to do much more of this, the potential is incredible.

Hi Karen. It is such a waste of time and something I’ve been guilty of too often! If we can work on getting this one step to be a firm habit, the rest is easy!
