A New Page
A new page.
Crisp and clean.
That's what I like about this time of year, my very favourite time of the year (minus fresh spring days, sizzlin' summer days and crisp fall days .)
It sure is a good feeling to start again. Try it.
2009 is over.
2010 has just begun.
It's a thin line, some of it is only in our head, but don't you feel a little bit lighter?
A little more carefree than you were a minute ago?
In all the years of your life – today is a new one. No matter how many have gone before or how many will come along after.
And today is the first day.
A new page.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO WRITE ON IT?
I have a hint.
Make it good stuff.
Take this opportunity to break free. To feel free!
Free from the things that take you away from where you want to go.
Or maybe even worse, the things that keep you from getting anywhere at all – those are the things that sneak up on you before you even know they are there. The things that just make you tired from going no where.
The funny thing is that it's often the little things – or one big thing.
Now's a good time to check your directions!
CHOOSE ONE THING
Write it on your page.
- How are you going to do it?
- Outline your steps.
- What do you need help with?
- Who can help you?
- Who shares your dream?
Write that too.
Part of the point of this exercise is to think freehand, to explore your own inner calling – to feel the freedom that 'one thing' gives you.
But if you're looking for some ideas, here is a simple list that covers everything you need to know.
Why not check it out to refine your thinking after you've had some fun winging it first. Don't forget to grab the free pdf – there's a link on the page for it.
Everything Counts- a simple, effective, and no-nonsense approach to goal setting
Feel the joy of it.
And then get started.
It's New Year's Day after all.
And if it isn't?
So what?
It's A New Day.
A New Page.
Got a pen?

Goal Setting
