Creating Business Focus – 4 Keys
Lately I’ve been pondering changes to cut down on overwhelm and the feeling of being scattered.
The first logical step was to work on identifying and refining my business model.
If you are feeling overwhelmed and/or scattered, this is the one sure thing to help you to zero in on the right things to do and to keep you on track in the big picture.
The true value is that it also helps you to stop doing things that
lead you astray – the kinds of little things that you may find
yourself doing of no value because you dabble here and there but
don't spend the time to grow anything substantial.
To do this I looked at all of the things that I am doing right now
and narrowed them down to 'fit' inside of a system that works for
me. I call this Phase One – when it's finished, I will then add a
few more components.
This is the basic 'building blocks' stage – the things in the
immediate future that need to be done before you can move on.
If you already have Phase One in place, work on Phase Two – the
next logical steps or components that will move you forward.
4 KEYS
When I was finished, I found that I had 4 Keys – 4 areas that I
wanted to grow consistently to form a good foundation – things that
if I continue to do will develop my business into the vision that I
have for it.
Here are my 4 Keys…
1. Create an article database on each of my sites.
2. Tweak and develop my lists.
3. Blog 1-2x weekly – include any new article links.
4. Product Development and Completion
HOW ABOUT YOU?
Try to put aside some time to think about your own
business model – the method that you want to use to get where you
want to go with your business. What do you want it to look like
when you are finished and maybe more importantly – what is the most likely method that you can use to get there.
Your 4 Keys don't need to be the same as mine.
You don't even have to have four items. A range from 1 – 5 are good numbers – you want to be able to use these keys to provide focus – the foundation around what you will use to plan your day and activities so you
don't want to have too many or spread yourself too thin.
You can always add another as you move along.
I would love to hear what you discover to be your 'Keys’.
Are your keys different? The same?
Why? Why not?
Inquiring minds love to know :0)
We can all help each other by contributing our ideas.
I hope to hear from you!
