You might be wondering at what age can you use your number as an excuse to give it all up, sit in a pile, and wait to die :0) There is no age! It seems extreme, but about 3 years ago, I was pretty much there.
You know what's really amazing and demonstrates what I've been thinking the past months of not regularly doing my exercises? The same weight with or without exercise produces a different body. You can see it with my examples.
Core Commitment + Support = Weight Loss Success Yuck. Core commitment. The very sound of it turns me off. I have never been big on commitment - core or otherwise.
This gives a few advantages. First being that you work up and can tweak the exercises either through intensity or repetition to your own fitness level as you start out. And basically the same advantages apply as you advance - the exercises grow increasingly more challenging, and as you progress, you can add weight to get increase benefit and avoid plateaus.
I just realized that the end of this week will mark 1/2 way into the bikini ready transformation challenge. What's the verdict? I won't look 20 again and no program except surgery is going to make me Bo Derek (here I am dating myself again), but I think that if I want to, at the end of the challenge I'd be able to wear a bikini without being chased off the beach.

WHICH IS BETTER, YOGA OR PILATES?
Both Yoga and Pilates are highly beneficial but give different results.
Yoga is wonderful for stretching and keeping you limber, and for de-stressing as well. It also creates strength in all areas.
Pilates strengthen your core area - your abs and back in a highly focused and effective way.
