    Feeling Like a Blob

queenofkaossizzlinsand110.jpg Today is a good day to illustrate how our own habits can effect the way we feel and look at ourselves.

Last Feb I went on a Spring Challenge at our local gym. In the process I changed a lot of bad habits and replaced them with healthy ones, that’s what Sizzlin’ is all about.

And I was really Sizzlin’! I felt really good – healthy, alive – and I was no longer dressing to hide the pouch that had somehow developed around my stomach area.

    Fast forward to today.

They closed the gym in October. That was really my lifeline to maintaining my new found health and vitality.

Slowly I fell out of my habits and today, I find myself back in blob mode.

I have fallen out of doing my daily exercises, my daily walk and many other habits that kept me feeling good in many ways.

I have been slowly trying to work back some of my good habits.

I’ve been walking almost daily and have started checking the calorie count of foods as I am beginning to pig out (that stops me in my tracks better than almost anything!)

So I’m going to continue with this for a few days, until Monday. On Tuesday, my traditional weigh day, I am going to go on record with my friend Karen and get started in earnest.

If you would like to join me, I am going to be offering sign ups for my Sizzlin’ program at a very reduced rate since it is so new.

So now is a good time to climb aboard.

Watch this blog for more news on how to join. You can subscribe to have the posts delivered to your email using the form in the top right hand corner.

You’ll get a lot of valuable tips and motivation even if you decide not to join.

Choose one new healthy habit and make a point of adding it to your daily routine starting today. If every day is too much to start, make it every other day. Focus on one new habit per week. You can do it!

It is definitely the time of year to be getting back on board with a Fit Yummy Mummy 12 Week Challenge – I am counting down the days to being 10lbs lighter and 12 weeks stronger!

Holly gives us assignments throughout the challenge, today it is to examine perfection and the effect that it has on our results – and how it can more likely than not cause more trouble than it saves. I am looking at that today.

How about you. Has perfection ever brought you down in your efforts to lose weight or get healthier?
