How Often Do You Weigh?

I'm just listening to one of the audio's that Holly has provided for the Fit Yummy Mummy New Year Challenge, with Joel Marion -2001 Body-for-Life Grand Champion and his tips on how to win.
It's full of great tips and ideas and best of all, motivation to do better.
He mentions not to weigh in more often that once per week.
I know for myself this is a habit that I need to break.
Holly has always said, pay attention to your clothes, not the scales.
When building muscle, sometimes your weight will actually go up!
It's a good thing in this case, but we've been so conditioned that it can be very discouraging.
Daily natural fluxautions can also be disconcerting.
These kinds of things can be what it takes to make us want to quit, even though we might be doing well.
THE BIGGEST REASON?
I find that the very biggest reason to weigh in once per week only is that it really ups my motivation to do better, so that the number on that scale will be better when I do weigh in.
It's a mind game. Sometimes there are disappointments for the reasons I listed above.
But I have always found that a few days before weigh in I will give 110%.
That in itself is the reason that a weigh in can help.
So if you are addicted to the numbers on the scale and weigh yourself daily, try going to weekly.
Make it the same day, even same time each week.
See what happens.
DON'T FORGET
It's not really in the numbers. Always pay the most attention to how your clothes are fitting, how you are feeling and how you are looking.
That is the true measurement for progress!

I agree that it is important to not get over-obsessive about weighing yourself. Once a day is way too often. Instead of focusing on getting on the scale, it is best to emphasize achieving a more healthy lifestyle on a daily basis.
