    Healthy Habits

    I have been pondering the habits that I have fallen out of that seemed to give me the most success in my Fit Yummy Mummy Transformation last year.

    Yup, I've been slowly sliding backwards instead of moving ahead and finally decided to take the time to figure out why.

    Here are a few things habits that I have fallen out of that contributed to my success.

    1. Marking my exercises on my calender. We follow an alternate day exercise plan, moving between intervals and resistance days. It just isn't the same if I don't mark it on the calender. Both because I can easily see what I need to do, and as a motivator/reminder to do it! 

    2. – Using my food journal. This is so important! The biggest benefit is that it helps me to hold myself accountable to myself. The other thing is that it keeps a running daily tally for me to see at a glance if I need to hold off on the calories to finish off the day within in range, if I need to drink more water etc to hit my daily targets.

    3. Making exercise a non-negotiable. No 'I don't feel like it', allowed. 

    4 – Having my protein smoothies before and after working out. I make one and split it so help get the muscle building benefits, as instructed by Holly.

    5. – Which brings me to the last point. Follow the Fit Yummy Mummy Lifestyle System. I've been able to integrate a lot of the basics but have been falling short of pushing it to the level I need to for continued improvement, and even backsliding. Instead of picking and choosing what I 'like' to do, I need to get back on the system as a whole, in the way that it is presented. So I am going to get out my Fit Yummy Mummy Workbook today and get back to it.

    It is definitely the time of year to be getting back on board with a Fit Yummy Mummy 12 Week Challenge – I am counting down the days to being 10lbs lighter and 12 weeks stronger!

    Holly gives us assignments throughout the challenge, today it is to examine perfection and the effect that it has on our results – and how it can more likely than not cause more trouble than it saves. I am looking at that today.
