    This morning I did my exercises along with my other morning routine type stuff.

    Usually I do them in the evening so that I am not using precious morning productive time.

    I must admit that I feel a little off of my schedule, but deep down, I feel really good.

    I feel calmer. And I feel cleaner.

    One of the benefits of doing exercise that makes me sweat, is that I always feel like I've had a shower from the inside out as I know the sweat and processed water is getting rid of toxins and my skin just feels cleaner – after my shower!

    THE POINT IS…

    that I noticed a difference right away. Almost from the first minute that I had finished my work out.

    It made so much sense that I don't know how I missed it before.

    I had put myself first.

    Myself over 'getting more done'.

    I was practicing to the core, what I have been preaching about time management all this time – you have to do the important things first. You have to prioritize and never forget what is truly important.

    Guess what is more important than anything?

    You guessed it.

    Yourself.

    Because, as you've probably heard, you can't look after others at your best, if you're not at your best.

    YOU ARE THE BASE THAT YOU WORK FROM

    Not only that. You are the base that you live from.

    All the stuff going on, and the things you are looking after are not you. They are not your life.

    They are in your life. They may be important, and a priority. But when push comes to shove, they are not your life.

    When your final day arrives and you look back on it all, if you feel good at your core, you will have lived a good life.

    And that comes from looking after yourself.

    WE THINK THAT WE ARE

    It really surprised me to have this point brought home to me, because I really thought that I was looking after myself.

    But I realized that I hadn't been putting myself first.

    Who wants to be second in their own life?

    Of course I don't mean that you should be selfish, or let others down who count on you, or certainly not shirk your duties as a MOM and all that good stuff.

    But you do need to take a look at how you are seeing your self and the things that you need to do to be healthy – and happy.

    You matter. Simple as that. A lot. 

    A simple thing like changing your exercise time to the morning – and enjoying it with no guilt or feeling of rushing – can really change the way you feel about yourself and your own importance in your life – and about where you fit in.

    WHY NOT GIVE IT A TRY?

    If you need to get up a bit earlier when the house is silent, go ahead.

    You'll get used to it after awhile and start to adjust your evening routine to make it possible.

    Give it a try and see how it sets you up for the rest of your day.

      i agree. you should love yourself before anything else. you will have a wonderful life if you learn to love yourself. that is the most important thing if you want to have a healthy lifestyle.

    It is definitely the time of year to be getting back on board with a Fit Yummy Mummy 12 Week Challenge – I am counting down the days to being 10lbs lighter and 12 weeks stronger!

    Holly gives us assignments throughout the challenge, today it is to examine perfection and the effect that it has on our results – and how it can more likely than not cause more trouble than it saves. I am looking at that today.
