I have been concentrating quite a bit lately on improving my nutrition through raw foods and eating more greens.
It has been fantastic! I really can tell a difference right away in my skin, mood, elimination/bloating, and general energy levels when I am on track with at least two green smoothies and/or good servings of greens and veggies.
So I couldn't wait when Tara Warner said she was doing a Raw Mom Summit.

Your focus should not be on crunches and leg lifts alone; you should also follow a healthy diet that would speed up your metabolic rate and help you burn fat fast.
. Myth#2: A drastic reduction of calorie intake reduces your body fat: This myth has pushed many a person to the brink of crash dieting. People take to crash dieting in the hope of shedding those extra pounds, not realizing that crash dieting could harm their bodies instead of helping them. As a matter of fact, when you starve or fast, your body believes that you are going to harm it and then it goes into the starvation mode. When in starvation mode, the body reduces its metabolic rate and uses the muscles rather than fat, which is kept in reserve for making energy. So the weight being lost is not fat; if anything it is muscle mass. And once you return to your normal diet,you will gain back not only the weight you lost, but even more pounds.
Myth#3: Doing only cardio exercises will help you lose weight: While it is true that cardio exercises can help you lose fat, it is not true that this is the only type of weight loss exercises available; don’t forget the aerobics. As a matter of fact, the amount of fat you will lose doing either cardio or aerobics is almost same. On the other hand, weight lifting is better than both cardio and aerobics, in that it not only helps you burn fat during the workout, but it also also strengthens your bones.

I find sparkling water - either LOW SODIUM club soda or Perrier to be one of the best ways to get myself back on track for drinking water through out the day.
After awhile I can wean myself off, but at first if I've slid out of the habit - the bubbles really help.
With some squeezed lemon, and a little cold filtered water, it's good enough to drink!

SODA WATER - ADD A LITTLE SPARKLE…
Soda water, also referred to as sparkling water, and is plain water with carbon dioxide gas added — it has been "carbonated.". It is the most dominant ingredient of most "soft drinks.". Soda pop, loved my many, is basically carbonic acid — the product of carbonation.
By using a seltzer bottle filled with water and then “charged” with carbon dioxide, soda water (club soda) was produced in the past in the home. Club soda may be the same as plain carbonate water but it can have a small amount of table salts, and sodium trace minerals. Such additives could possibly make the taste of home made soda water slightly salty. This process, occuring naturally in some areas, produces carbonated mineral water.
Sparkling mineral water may sometimes cause a little dental decay. The potential problem of sparkling water is slightly greater than "still" water, but the problem remains low. Regular soft drinks cause tooth decay at a rate much higher than sparkling water. The rate is so low it suggests that carbonation may not be a factor in causing dental decay.
Artesian wells are often the source for water that filters among layers of minerals containing forms of carbonates, absorbing the carbon dioxide gas released by those carbonates. This produces natural sparkling water. Shoud the water also pick up enough different minerals to become flavored, it becomes sparkling mineral water.
In its basic construction, soda water is just water and carbon dioxide. A naturally-occuring product of carbonation is sparkling mineral water. A jeweler, in 1794, made a device to produce an artificial carbonated mineral water.
A taste test was conducted involving several carbonated drinks; Perrier, a sparkling natural mineral water, was deemed to keep its fizz the longest.
The gentle fizz of club soda may be a welcome alternative for consumers who feel seltzer to be a bit harsh. As part of the tasting test, club soda seemed to be milder and a little sweeter tasting than standard carbonated water.
Having zero calories, club soda, sparkling mineral water, seltzer, and carbonated water are a dieter’s choice over soda pop and tonic water. Not even if flavored at home with flavor for carbonated water.
Tonic water is a type of carbonate drink containing water, sugar, carbon dioxide and quinine. Quinine's first use in tonic water was as an additive to help cure or prevent malaria. Today it is often mixed with gin and lemon or lime to create an alcoholic drink.
These facts and names are just a few of the ways we refer to soda water.

After participating in the green smoothie challenge that the Raw Diva, Tera Warner put together, I can say that my healthy eating habits grew by leaps and bounds.
My diet now consists primarily of raw foods in the form of smoothies or fruit and veggie snacks. The rest is clean food - I've cut out almost all sugar, gluten, processed foods and cheese.
I do have a few cheats here and there but it isn't the norm anymore.
